The figure was halved in the 90s to 3 children per woman. The more years passed after the 90s, the more the number of births per woman decreased until it went from 3 to 1.65 in 2011, to 1.32 in 2021 and most recently with the new census data to 1.2 in 2023,” Ms. Manuela Bello said in the following interview:
