Furthermore, more than 1,000 coaches and delegates, 2,000 volunteers, 1,000 accredited media and around 100,000 spectators will be involved. With 86 days to go until the Opening Ceremony at the Inalpi Arena in Turin, in the splendid setting of the Royal Palace of Turin, the curtain has risen on an international event that aims to break down all forms of prejudice and marginalization. The presentation press conference, in streaming connection with over 100 connected countries, revealed the program of the Winter World Games and saw the presence of the Minister of Tourism, Daniela Santanché: "This initiative represents a unique opportunity to celebrate sport as a tool of participation and growth. At the same time, it allows us to show the world the spirit of welcome and inclusion that distinguishes Italy. It is an opportunity to demonstrate, through the stories of courage and passion of athletes from all over the world, that every barrier can be overcome thanks to their contagious joy of living and the team spirit that unites us", from the Minister for Sport and Youth, Andrea Abodi: "In this event, friends from many nations will meet, in a historical phase in which the world is divided and too many conflicts deny the inviolable right to life, and we will unite under the flag of Special Olympics, with the pleasure of sharing, appreciating and embracing differences, rooting for everyone, with a special joy for the 'ours' who will wear the blue shirt with honor" and of the Minister for Disabilities Alessandra Locatelli: "The 2025 Turin World Winter Games will be an extraordinary event, a demonstration of how sport can break down barriers and build bridges, offering many emotions and sense of belonging - underlined the Minister -. We need to offer opportunities, give opportunities and start seeing the potential in each person and not the limits. The athletes of the Special Olympics, with their enthusiasm and desire to be there and participate, teach us that everyone can demonstrate their worth through their talents. It's a great challenge for everyone". Video by Alberto Giachino (ag. Reporters)
