When one meets Sali Berishaup close, one understands why he has such a full political – and not only – resume. The man who wasHoxha's doctor(although he denies it), who served as president and prime minister in his country, was expelled from the Democratic Party he founded, was declared persona non grata in theUS, was accused ofcorruptionand placed under house arrest, regained the reins of his party and, now, at the age of 81, is claiming victory in the upcoming Albanianelectionsand his return to theprime ministershipafter 12 years. Why?

The Prime Minister of Albania has his office next to the Pyramid of Tirana. One of the city’s most characteristic landmarks, its history mirrors that of the country as a whole: opened as a Hoxha museum in 1988, it now houses a technology center.
